Guinea Pigs get cleaned up!

I posted Saturday that we were going to bathe our guinea pigs.  Well, I wasn't feeling too good on Saturday so we gave them a bath on Sunday morning.....in the restroom sink!  LOL...they love it when the water runs on them.  The silly pigs try to drink the water when their coats are being washed.

Guess who's first?!?

And the winner is.....

Meet Fwee, Fwee

Here he is getting all lathered up!

Now he's being rinsed off.

I don't know if you can tell in this photo, but he is actually just laying back relaxing in my had while I let the water run on his belly & trying to rinse under his neck.

Giving him a final rinse.

All done :)

Who's next??????

Everybody, meet Bugsy.

He's kicked back as I'm getting his tummy wet.

He was trying to drink the water as I was trying to get his coat wet.

Soap applied to body & getting him all lathered up!

He's all done!  Time to rinse the soap off & steppin up on my hand like a stool while the water was running on his back.

All done.  He's ready for his towel!

Here's the shampoo we used.  They smelled like sun ripened raspberries!

Drying off now.

Silly pig was laying under his towel for little bit.  He cracks me up!

Here he rolled out from under his towel.

Here's Bugsy.

Guinea Pigsitting....

My kids are currently on spring break and visiting with my in-laws in New Mexico. While they are visiting family, my hubby & I got the pleasure of guinea pigsitting (is that even a word, LOL).

We bought them more food, hay, a new water bottle, a chewing ball & more filling. Hubby cleaned their cage and I refilled their feeding bowl, hay ball & refilled their water bottles. They were happy campers!

The next thing to do is give them a bath! I think I will wait for the kids to get back to help me with that. Usually I will wash one and then Kelcie will take him & dry with a towel and blow dry his hair. Then we will wash the second one and towel dry him and then she will blow dry his hair and put them both back into their cage.

I must say that they have gotten big while they have been gone. I tried to hold and pet them since Kelcie used to do that but that didn't go very well. They just wanted to get back into their cage and eat!

Here are some pictures...
