Questions for Friday, December 4th:

1. Favorite gift you are GIVING this year?
2. How many parties are you attending between now and Christmas?
3. What is your favorite Christmas song?
4. Who was your favorite elementary school teacher and why?
5. If you had a choice to live in any other period of time (other than now) what era would you choose and why?

Here are my answers:

1. I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet!  I have no clue where to start!
2. I'll only be attending one party.  If my office has a potluck, does that count???  Other than that just the one party on my mom's side of the family.
3. My favorite Christmas song is "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" sung by my children.  The best part is when they emphasize the word "wish".
4. My 5th grade teacher, Mr. A was my favorite.  He always rewarded us when we had a good month & he always made learning fun.  He always seemed to turn what he was teaching into a game & interactive.
5. I always wanted live in the 70's era when I was in high school.  I haven't thought of it much since then.  I can't even remember why I wanted to live in that era now that I think of it.

1. I am not a Black Firday shopper. I just never got into it!
2. I can not recall my favorite childhood toy :( I do remember playing with Barbies with my cousins on my dad's side when we would go visit.
3. My favorite Christmas move is "A Christmas Story"
4. My "must have" item is a new digital camera!
5. I used to go all out with decorations and lately I haven't had the "energy" to go all out. So now I'm lucky if I even get the tree out to decorate!

1. I am thankful that God has been by ourside through every up & every down and all the hardships that we've been through this past year.

1.  Target/Crate & Barrel/Ikea:  One of these stores for new kitchen appliances!  I can't pick just one but I love what they all have.

I love the smell of rain!

Update, update, update

Well a lot has happened since my last post in August.

We drove home to New Mexico for my brother's-in-law wedding. That was quite an adventure. We drove about 8 hours with the kids. That trip normally takes about 6 hours but this time it took a little longer than we planned.  We got stuck in traffic.  Traffic was at a stand still!  We were not going to get to New Mexico any sooner than we were hoping.

Well we finally made it home.  It was so nice to be home and enjoying the company of family.  Too bad I didn't have my camera with me at all times!  I missed out on some great photos!  I'm waiting on my brother-in-law J to send us photos of the wedding.  I was disappointed I missed out!  My son was in the wedding and J snapped some good photos!

That was a good visit & too short!  We had a good time and did not want to come home so soon.

September we had planned on attending a huge family reunion at my Grandmother's house in Northern Arizona.  Unfortunately, we did not make it but my two middle children attended with my brother D.  They all had a blast.  We missed out and I really wish we were able to attend.  I was kinda bummed we didn't make it out there.

October has been a busy month as far as work is concerned.  I work for an airline and all I can say right now is that it's been a roller coaster.  It's been up & down.  It's been a little stressful since the future of the company is not known.

We've also been busy with our kids.  They have been super busy.  My oldest has joined basketball.  My second oldest has been busy with student council & the youngest 2 kids have been keeping busy with afterschool programs such as physical fitness, art, dodge ball.

That's what I've been up to the past 2 months.  I hope you all are doing well.

I've been missing in action!

Where have I been?  Well, I've been here...just busy with work & family life.  I've attempted to redo my blog.  I found an awesome blog profile but my disqus comments to appear on my blog :(  I think it might have to do with the awesome blog template I installed.

I'm playing around with things right now so beware...my site is under construction.

1.  I won't miss the 100+ degree weather!
2.  I won't miss the having to stay indoors most of the time because it's so hot outside!
3.  I won't miss late night BBQ'ing because it's too hot to cook out at a decent hour!
4.  I won't miss my husband's early work schedule!
5.  I will miss my kids being home & spending the afternoon with us.
6.  I will miss all the spare time we had.  Now that the kids are back in school they each have different after school activities so we're always out & about after 4pm & finally slow down around 6-7pm.

Today I am sharing a photo taken at my old job in high school. My co-workers threw a pre-graduation party for me. I can't believe how time flies! Just last month my kids started their first day of school & I'm thinking of graduation! We still have a long way to go but I sure hope my kids enjoy every minute of their childhood.
