I missed last weeks Grilling so I have combined last weeks questions with today's questions....

1. Do you have a cell phone that allows you to check your email?
Yes, I have a BlackBerry Curve 8900. I love it!

2. Have you ever caught a foul ball at a baseball game?
No, I have not.


3. What foreign accent can you imitate the best?
I can not imitate any foreign accents.


4. Do you have plans for Memorial Day?
We didn't have any plans for the weekend. We stayed home and had a cook out on Sunday.


5. Does your hair look decent if you let it air dry?
Yes, it does. It just falls flat and I have fine hair that sticks up everywhere and looks like antenas....LOL I tried to find a picture but didn't have any luck.


6. When is the last time you went to a waterpark?
It's been several years since we've gone to a waterpark.


7. Do you turn on your porch light every night?
Nope, no porch light for us.


8. Have you ever had to call the fire department?
Nope....knocking on wood.



1. If you had 10 hours at home alone, what would you do?
I would catch up on laundry! Catch up on the blogs I read.


2. Do you have a fond memory of your dad?
I always remember my dad always working outside on his car. I would hang out with him and just chill in his tool shed while he worked on his car. I'd have a lot of questions and ask what each tool was used for. He tried to teach me what he was doing but I wasn't interested, I just wanted to hang with my dad.


3. Do you prefer the pool or the beach?
If I had my own pool, I would prefer the pool. Since we have a community pool, I do not let me kids go swimming. It's been at least 3 years since we've been to a beach!


4. What's the furthest you've driven for one day of fun?
Well, that depends....Hubby & I drove to Vegas for a weekend of fun and with the kiddos, New Mexico was the furthest we've driven.


5. Solid, clear solid, clear gel or aerosol? Deodorant of choice, that is.
Clear solid, for sure.


6. Do you tan or burn/peel?
I do not tan but the last time I was in Vegas I got sun burned and didn't realize it! My arm peeled for a few days.


7. What's your favorite pasta-based meal?
Spaghetti.....mmmm, that sounds so good right about now.


8. Do you wax or pluck your eyebrows?
I go to the salon and have them waxed.

This week I chose a picture of my brother & my youngest daughter.  In this photo he was in his early 20's & Miss Keirstin is about 6months.

Kelcie always wanted a cat growing up but we found out later that night that she & her sisters were allergic to cats.  (Hubby & I are also allergic to cats)

Update.....

After a long weekend, I finally had the time to update my blogs (Welcome to My Life & My Road to Losing Weight)

I had a good weekend, except for Monday morning when it was time to go back to work.  I woke up at 3am to a pounding head.  I took some tylenol & laid back down hoping it would go away.  When it was time to go to work, I still had my headache.  This time I slept until 9am and missed calls from my boss!  I had a MIGRAINE!

There was NO way I was going to work.  I was in NO condition to go to work.  I called my boss & let her know that I was calling in sick for the day.

After I called in, I slept ALL DAY!  As the evening approached, my migraine lifted a little but I still had a headache.  At least it wasn't as intense as the morning.

Tuesday came around and I still had my migraine so I stayed home one more day.  Today I went to work with a mild headache for most of the day.

I posted a couple of blogs, Not Me Monday, Wordless Wednesday & Mother's Day 2009 from Welcome to My Life & one entry from My Road to Losing Weight.

Happy Mother's Day 2009

I was invited by my son, Joshua, to attend his 2009 Mother's Day Tea Party.  I took the day off and spent my morning at his school.  When I walked in to his classroom, I was greeted with this sign.  The whole class put this together.

Each student drew a picture of their mom & wrote their name next to their drawing.  Here's Joshua's drawing:

Next the class had a few songs they sang for us & recited a poem.  Each student recited 1-2 lines from the poem.  It was sooo cute!  I just wish that I could have found my camcorder!  I didn't have it so I had to settle for pictures.

Well this past week I DID NOT wake up in the middle of the night because I was dreaming I was using the restroom.  Come to find out.....I DID NOT almost wet the bed!  Oh no, not me!

I also DID NOT wake one morning NOT mad at my hubby because I WAS NOT dreaming that he did NOT have a girlfriend.  I was NOT mad at him most of the day just because I DID NOT dream of him with another girl.  Oh no, NOT ME!

My Grandma DID NOT travel from Kayenta with my Uncle to visit with her son's, daughter's, neice's, nephew's & grandchildren for her Mother's Day weekend.  While she was NOT visiting in Phoenix, we were most definately NOT planning our trip to her house by the Mesa for renovations to her house so that she could NOT get electricity!  We are NOT excited about this major accomplishment!  After so many years, she is NOT happy to NOT finally get electricity!

I FINALLY found a picture of me & my closest cousins.  We grew up together!  From left to right, SP, me, RD & VT.  SP is the oldest.  In this photo we are 17 (RD), 18 (me), 19 (VT) & 20 (SP).  I had just graduated from high school, May 1994.

Summer, 1994.  That summer we had a HUGE family get together in Flagstaff, AZ.

This past week I have NOT been cheering on the Boston Celtics since my first team didn't make it to the playoffs.

I also did NOT give our guinea pigs a bath and I did NOT totally have a good time!

When my boss told us she was resigning from the company, I did NOT totally feel numb about it.  I was NOT thinking, that's what you said last year & got more money from the company to stay!  I also was NOT wondering if she was trying to do the same thing again this year!  All in all, I am NOT sad to see her leave.

Busy day....

I've got a busy day today!  My Grandmother, Uncle & Aunt are in town visiting.

I've got to get some new pictures of my kiddos for my awesome Mother's Day gift for my mom & mother-in-law.

Then we've got to be home by 5:00 pm mountain/standard time for the BIG game!  Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls.  It's game 7 so Boston's gotta win!!!

1. My ex is...in my past! I thought I knew it all! At the time I thought I was in LOVE & could not live without him! He was a senior & I was a freshman in high school. After graduation he left and went to Marine boot camp in Caifornia. I thought I couldn't make it without him being with me physically everyday. My mom disapproved of our relationship & the next school year I was in New Mexico. We kept in touch MANY years afer he left high school & I was always there by his side whenever he was on leave. "We" agreed to see other people & eventually lost contact after awhile & FINALLY went our separate ways. We are still in contact & good friends.

2. I should learn to...be more patient & be more obedient of the Lord. I need to build a STRONGER relationship with the Lord.

3. I love...the fact that I have such a loving, caring & supportive family.

4. People would say that I am...I am quite, shy & soft spoken.

5. I don't understand...why everybody is panicing about the SWINE FLU....isn't it just like the common flu????

6. When I wake up in the morning…I grab my cell phone to see what time it is and hope that I did not oversleep (after I hit the snooze 2 times)...

7. I lost...my first engagment ring, actually it was stolen :( It was never recovered. We filed a police report but I don't recall the outcome.... My hubby bought me a new ring & I got to pick it out :)

8. Life is full of...surprises.
